Citrus trees work hard to produce flowers and then grow the fruit, as well as keeping the foliage green and growing. If short of essential minerals they may abort their fruits or concentrate on growing the fruits at the expense of the leaves. To help them stay healthy, they need regular feeding with a finely-tuned fertiliser which will give them the nutrients they need to perform all these tasks. Light green or yellow leaves on the new growth is a sign of lack of nutrients.

How to use

This food has been formulated specially to provide just the minerals the citrus family need. We recommend feeding weekly - by dissolving these crystals in the watering can.

Summer Formulation is typically used between April and September.

Our special Summer feed formulation keeps leaves green and prevents yellowing leaves (chlorosis). The Summer formulation contains high nitrogen to encourage green leaf growth. It can be used on any plants that are short on nitrogen too.
During the Spring and Summer Citrus trees will put on about 4 flushes of new leaves. To give them the nutrients they need, add feed to their water once a week. You will probably need to water with plain water in between times - watch your plant carefully to make sure all the root ball is wetted.

Winter Formulation is typically used between October and March.

The Winter fertiliser should be added to the water either weekly (if you are needing to water every week), or whenever you water (if less than weekly). Use the Winter Formulation between October and March.

1 tub of 150gm is enough for 1 tree in a large pot for 2 seasons, 4 seasons for a small pot.

Summer Formulation is typically used between April and September.

Winter Formulation is typically used between October and March.

To give them the nutrients they need, add feed to their water once a week in the summer and whenever watering in the winter if less than weekly.
